Has over 20 years experience in several international, small and larger (technology) companies and is now overseeing all EARS operations. Prior to his working career he obtained an MSc in mechanical engineering at Delft University of Technology.
Graduated in 2005 as civil hydrologist from the University of Twente, the Netherlands. He specialized in hydrological modelling, water supply and water use, environmental management, and became experienced in the related remote sensing, modelling and data processing technology. At EARS Steven is responsible for MSG and GTS data reception and processing, rainfall and water resources monitoring and the related hydrological applications.
Studied Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications at the Technical University of Delft. Also graduated in Technology Management at The Hague University. Greg is the EARS technical expert. He has a long working history in the fields of Electronic Engineering and Information and Communication Technology. He is responsible for Plant Photosynthesis Meter development, sales and applications. He is also our general technical expert for satellite reception, computers systems and networks.
Obtained a BSc in International Land and Water Management from Wageningen Agricultural University. Studied thereafter Applied Geographical Information Science and Remote Sensing at the University of Southampton and received his MSc in 2011. Worked in 2011 and 2012 at ImageCat Ltd, UK, on post-disaster loss estimation for the insurance industry using remote sensing technology.
Studied International Land & Water Management in Wageningen and completed his Masters in Physical Geography at Utrecht University, specializing in remote sensing and geoinformatics. After developing web-based visualization and modelling applications for the PCRaster team at Utrecht University, he joined EARS, where he is now working on scaling up EARS' index insurance platform.
Studied Rural and Surveying Engineering at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and in 2016 completed her Masters in Geomatic Engineering and Planning from ETH Zurich, with a focus on remote sensing. After working for the Agriculture Underwriting team of SwissRe on forest fire detection using satellite images, she joined EARS to work on drought insurance validation.
