ARC is our local partner for the SUM-Africa project in Uganda. They have been instrumental in introducing index insurance to Uganda and organizing partnerships with influential aggregators such as NUCAFE.

EARS is a data partner to the World Bank's Global Index Insurance Facility. We are also working together with GIIF to promote index insurance initiatives in various African countries.

Together with the Niger Basin Authority we are implementing a satellite based monitoring and flow forecasting system for the Niger River basin.

EARS is data and insurance partner in the CTA-led MUIIS project.


The EARS index insurance products offered by AIC in Uganda are reinsured by Swiss Re.


Planet Guarantee and EARS have been long time partners in developing index insurance products in West Africa. Currently we are working together in Mali to scale up micro-insurance activities as part of the SUM-Africa project.

EARS is the lead partner in the G4AW project SUM-Africa which aims to scale up micro-insurance services in Uganda and Mali.

The Agricultural Insurance Consortium is a group of leading insurance companies in Uganda. Index insurance products developed by EARS are made available on the market by the consortium.


EARS has a long relationship with UNESCO-IHE which started on the implementation of a flow forecasting and monitoring system for the Yellow River basin in China. Currently we are working together on a similar project for the Niger River.

NUCAFE is a Ugandan coffee producers association that joined the SUM-Africa project in 2016 to provide drought insurance products to its coffee farmers.

The development economics faculty of Wageningen University and Research is the project partner in the SUM-Africa project responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of the insurance products in Uganda and Mali.

The EARS index insurance products offered by Planet Guarantee in Mali are reinsured by Allianz.
