Recent climatological data for Africa and Europe

EARS is receiving MSG satellite data on an hourly basis. We are processing these data in near real time to daily and dekadely products of: 

• surface and air temperature
• surface albedo
• global and net radiation
• sensible heat flux
• actual and potential evapotranspiration
• rainfall

Crop yield forecasts for Africa and Europe

During the growing season the radiation and evapotranspiration data are further processed to crop yield forecasts for the following regions

• West Africa
• East Africa
• Southern Africa
• Europe

Crop yield forecasts are published from halfway the growing season and are regularly updated untill harvest. Select the desired forecasting region in the left column.
